Popper was a real Dud
by Gerald, FL

I am extremely disappointed with this product. The aluminum is probably no more than 6 plys of aluminum foil. The thing was shipped very quickly., (about 4 days afterI ordered it). I think they couldn't wait to get rid of it.. When I opened it I discovered that the wooden crank handle was rolling aaround it the box. No way
could that thing been attached to the metal crank shaft! Supposed to have had three bags of popcorn but I guess the packer thought one pack was sufficient.
Why didn,t I ship it back you ask? Well, I just figured the CONSIDERATION taken
by Whirly when they shipped this thing would only be acted upon with the same painstaking regard. Who needs even more aggravation??? TOTAL JUNK and
don't say I didn't warn you!!

Plastic gear is too cheap
by Inez, FL
October 18, 2009

The idea is great, but the design and workmanship of the Whirley Popcorn Popper are poor. The plastic gear arrived broken. And if had not already been broken, I'm sure it would have broken after a short use of the product. It was really too bad this pop corn popper was such a disappointment. But don't let that stop you from shopping at cooking.com. They made a prompt refund to my credit card. And I'm still looking for a popcorn popper of a similar design which has a sturdier gear to rotate the popcorn.

Good, but could be better...
by Amy, AP

Overall, I like the popcorn popper -- making homemade popcorn is both healthier and less expensive than the microwave version. However, the popper's construction is rather flimsy and doesn't seem as if it will hold up well for very long. I would happily pay more for a sturdier popper. I like the design, but honestly it could be better...
