Is the pan ovenproof?

One of the selling points when buying this product was the fact that it was supposed to be oven proof to 500 degrees. The pan is not labeled as such and therefore is suspect in my mind. However, it is labeled as being dishwasher safe.

Omelet pans

This product should have been described as an omelet pan set rather than a skillet set. They are very nice omelet pans but not really what I was looking for. Perhaps I should have been able to tell from the image that they are not actually skillets.

After following the directions to prepare for first use and handeling, this product will be returned. After first run through the dishwasher, the non-stick coating is coming off. And no it is not heat related, it was only used for eggs. This is the second non-stick pan we have had to send back due to poor quality. The other was a different model as well. This will be the last Calphalon product we purchase, due to inconvenience factors returning products at our cost.

Nonstick pan is NOT

Fried an egg (with oil!) the first time I used this pan. The egg STUCK around the edges and had to be coaxed off the pan to flip it. I also had to scrub a little when I washed it. Definitely not what I expected from this brand and the price I paid. I returned it.
