Unison Nonstick Skillet Set (2-pc.) by Calphalon

What has happened to Calphalon? Sad to see the old amazing quality and workmanship has gone. The heads of the attaching rivets on both pans are no longer flush with the pans themselves. No big deal until excess food gets trapped in the crack and you have to spend a lot of time figuring out how to dig it all out! What a pain and what a sad state for your company! You all used to be the best. What did you do, outsource your work over the past five years?

This was my first Calphalon purchase and I could not be happier. Great pans, completely non-stick surface & cleaning is a breeze. Pans heat evenly, easy to control the temperature. I have used them for a variety of purposes & have gotten excellent results every time. They are dishwasher safe, but do not know why you would ever put them in the dishwasher when hot, soapy water and a wipe with a dishcloth does the trick. I will definitely be buying more Calphalon Unison cookware.

I own six American made Calphalon products. I am very satisfied.

I love these pans. Now I can make corn bread again in the oven.

Have bought several types of pans ranging from double digits to triple digits in price for EACH pan, but none are as good as these Calphalon Unison Pans. THEY are THE BEST IN EVERY CATEGORY, especially: Price, Function & Quality.

I was under the impression that eggs would slide right out without using any oil. I prepped, the pan the way the instructions said to. the first time that I tried to fry an egg in the 8" non-stick unison slide fry pan, the egg stuck to the bottom of the pan, I had my range on med,heat as per the instructions. The next time that I used the fry pan, I put a little oil in it, and it worked out ok. I bought this set thinking that I would not have to use any oil to cook an egg, the set is still a good deal, but I feel that it should not be promoted as a slide non-stick fry pan.

The Omelet pans are way more than I expected for the price. They are a good and heavy and the coating reacts just as advertised. Better still was the help I received from Calpholon in placing my order. There was a problem with online ordering the day I placed my order. The representative took my information over the phone and called me back when she had resolved the issue to give me my verification. I have never had a company goes so far as to make sure that I was totally satisfied with my online shopping experience. Thank you for the pans, and the GREAT customer service.

I just couldn't pass up the deal. Two great pans for a very low price. I already own 4 of the One non-stick (older style) and 1 Unison. So far the Unison seems to be the best of both worlds, tough and non-stick. Only time will tell. So far I have enjoyed very much and use everyday.

Pans are great. Much better than expected. Super easy clean up!

We just bought a house that has a flat ceramic stove top, so I had to replace a lot of my pans since you have to have certain ones. These work great! I am looking into getting other sizes, too.

When they say nonstick, they mean it. You have to add oil in the beginning to condition it, but I haven't added any since. I'm sure I will for some things I cook, but everything I've cooked so far slides right off. My eggs have never tasted...or looked better!

Anytime I can buy a product that is made in the U.S.A. it's a good day. This product is made in Toledo, OH which means by my purchasing it I supported and American Family. I like that. We need to support more American companies and stop buying the JUNK that comes from china and vietnam and other places. Just a thought. Build American ~ Buy American ~ Be American

I ordered a 2 pc skillet set that was to be 12" & 10" skillets, When the order arrived, the skillet sizes were 10" & 8". When we called the 800 number to report the error we were told that "they" were out of the 12 & 10 that we could return the product OR they could heavily discount the product we did receive. I chose to keep the skillets. The product itself is wonderful.

My family tends to be hard on nonstick pans. It always seem more expedient to grab a fork than to grab the tongs for turning food. I have tried several more expensive nonstick pans but keep coming back to this one. It cooks really well and the great fitting clear glass lid is a big plus. It maintains it's nonstick ability for as long as I keep it, unlike other more expensive brands I have tried. It works better and last as long as the ones that cost 6X as much. I find it is more cost effective to buy this and just replace it when it has too many scratches to be healthy.

I have been using Calphalon since I got married. When each of my daughters(3) got married I purchased them a complete set. I still love the Calphalon line and will continue to purchase the pans made in the USA. My third daughter is about to get married and I was very sad to find that more than 1/2 of the Calphalon line is produced in China. For cookware I think quality beats all other consideration. You can find cheaper pans but when you replace them in just a few years you are not saving any money. Please bring back the manufacturing to the USA so I can complete my daughters set!

I purchased this particular set of skillets because the handles are attached to the skillets by three bolts and the skillets are heavier than many of the others I have purchased. The bases are much thicker and radiate and maintain heat much better that any of the others I have purchased. The non stick surface is also different because it seems to be stronger (and is silver) plus the instructions indicate that they are dishwasher safe. Many of the calphalon products are to be handwashed.

Over the last decade I have had the fortune to buy three Calphalon 7" skillets. In spite of my careful inspection of the images of them at the online site, each one of them is different from the others. The two most recently purchased are somewhat less esthetic than the older model. It seems to me that you are engineering in changes to your product that reduce your cost but do not necessarily benefit your customers. You may have better reasons but if so, it would be nice for you to let the consumer in on them. Finally, we own several other Calphalon products but are hesitant to buy more because of the erratic nature of what we are buying.

I wanted to purchase these pans for awhile and was waiting for a possible sale. Calphalon was offering the 2 for $59.95 and I ordered them right away. The 8" alone was $99 without the promotion - so I feel I got a bargain. I have used both pans a number of times making omelets, sauces, bar-b-que and reubens. Perfect! I followed the directions making sure the pan was pre-heated and that the food sat out for about 10 min before adding to the pan. I have made omelets in other calphapan pans and they sometimes stick. Nothing sticks in these pans. Food just slides out! Clean up is a breeze. Also, you don't need hardly any oil. I bought an oil mister where I can add my own olive or veg oil. I bought a set of simply calpalon pans about 10 years ago and these pans will replace those. I have recommended the calphalon unison product line to a number of people. Very happy with my purchase!

I purchased this pan set with introductory product pricing directly from Calphalon. I am extremely impressed with the weight and cooking surface. Truly a quality product. I was sufficiently impressed with the product, I bought a second set as a wedding present.
