I was really excited about ordering this cookbook as I watched several of shows. What really disappointed me was the fact that the recipes that caught my interest on TV were not included in the book---for example, the Ultimate Cheesecake. Now I have the option of printing the recipes from the website and "sticking" them in the book.
My friend had prepared a wonderful lunch for a group of friends recently and she confided that the recipes were from Tyler's Ultimate cookbook. As I love to cook for family and friends, I immediately purchased the book for myself and I am really having success with the recipes I've tried so far. I find that the recipes are a sophisticated in an unpretentious way. Also, I love the way the explanations for each recipe are written. It is almost as if Tyler were speaking to you. I can tell this is going to be a cookbook that I will be using repeatedly for years to come.
What a great book! After watching Tyler on TV, I tried some of his recipes and they ALL turned out perfectly-very easy to follow even by new cooks. The Chicken Caccitore and the oven roasted BBQ ribs are the BEST! Also good for new cooks is Tyler's use of everyday kitchen supplies, so you don't have to go buy equipment every time something new is tried. Keep up the good work, Tyler!
This is my favorite kind of cookbook: clear, straightforward instructions, excellent photos, ingredients I can easily acquire, and recipes that are great for all occasions.

I bought this book for my brother-in-law for father's day. He loved it and has already made meals out of it. I like the size and print. The photos were large and vivid. Very much worth the money.
I love Tyler's show on the Food Network and wanted his book so I could try some of his recipes for myself. Have tried two so far and they were wonderful.
I have purchased 3 Tyler Florence Books. He has wonderful recipes that you can count on to be of great quality and great tasting. I have been cooking out of the book entitled EAT THIS BOOK. I have found many great recipes. The crab cake and the hamburger in the Ultimate book are outstanding, but I was disappointed he did not include the ultimate lasagna I have made this from the food network recipes found on line. I am someone who loves to cook. My mother is a gourmet cook and studied when we were growing up. She cooked every night for 5 kids wonderful meals.
My husband and I adore Tyler, he is an excellent teacher. His cookbook has beautiful, delicious recipes. We're delighted with this cookbook and plan meals from it several times each month. Tyler is the Ultimate Chef!

I like Tyler's style, his dishes are usually easy to make with a rich full flavor, sometimes I don't want to have dinner ready in 30 minutes or less
This book is full of wonderful recipes. Those recipes we did not care for, we easily adapted to make our own. A few ingredients were difficult or impossible to find in our area, but readily available substitutions were easy to fit into the recipes and the end results were successful. Ingredients we could not substitute, we found online. Some old recipe standards have been given a fresh take; the outcomes are attractive and tasty.

I ordered one as a gift. When wrapping it I looked throught it and decided to roder one for myself.
Loved this cookbook, read it from front to back the day it came in the mail. Loved the written commentary and especially loved the pictures. I haven't tried anything yet but I plan too soon.
Tyler is one of my favorite chefs, but I enjoy them all. I especially enjoy and have tried many of his "Ultimate" recipes.
Love the recipes in this book with 2 caveats: 1) this food is NOT for people trying to watch their weight; 2) some of the cooking times seem to be off (2 chicken dishes called for 50 min of baking yet were very undercooked for us). That said, delicious and simple recipes for people who love hearty and gourmet meals.
If you enjoy the recipes from his show you will love this book.
Tyler's Ultimate Beef stew, a recipe in his book is so good, I've made this a few times for family & Friend's and all agree it's the best! some other great recipes, are The Ultimate French Soup! & Spaghetti carbonara, all of these are great, i rated it a 4 because if you don't love to cook, or are maybe a beginner cook, some of the recipes are more for Intermediate cooks, but all worth trying!!
