I was hoping to receive a cookbook with a compilation of Tyler's Ultimate recipes from His cooking show. Since I have used many of his recipes from His show in the past, I had assumed this was the case. The book does not contain what I had expected. I am dissatisfied with my purchase. His recipes are usually very tasteful. I'm sure these reciprs could be someone else's cup of tea.
I have been a fan of Tyler's since the beginning of the Ultimate. Now I am glad to have some of his best in one place.
I was helping my daughters good friend with the plans for her small (100-120 guests) wedding, We chose Tyler's potatoe salad after I made it for her Bridal shower to rave revues! I loaned my 'Tyler's Ultimate' to her after the shower so that she would have the recipe. A couple days prior to the Wedding she attempted to return my book and said she had tried a few recipes and loved the simplicity and results. I told her she could hang onto the book for a while and the next day ordered it as a wedding gift. I think that this young couple will share many wonderful meals and happy years together, in part due to 'Tyler' and 'Mama T'!

Love the book, thought it was going to be more like the show, but am happy with the outcome anyway.
I was really excited about ordering this cookbook as I watched several of shows. What really disappointed me was the fact that the recipes that caught my interest on TV were not included in the book---for example, the Ultimate Cheesecake. Now I have the option of printing the recipes from the website and "sticking" them in the book.
If you enjoy the recipes from his show you will love this book.

I bought this book for my brother-in-law for father's day. He loved it and has already made meals out of it. I like the size and print. The photos were large and vivid. Very much worth the money.
What a great book! After watching Tyler on TV, I tried some of his recipes and they ALL turned out perfectly-very easy to follow even by new cooks. The Chicken Caccitore and the oven roasted BBQ ribs are the BEST! Also good for new cooks is Tyler's use of everyday kitchen supplies, so you don't have to go buy equipment every time something new is tried. Keep up the good work, Tyler!
I love Tyler's show on the Food Network and wanted his book so I could try some of his recipes for myself. Have tried two so far and they were wonderful.
This book is full of wonderful recipes. Those recipes we did not care for, we easily adapted to make our own. A few ingredients were difficult or impossible to find in our area, but readily available substitutions were easy to fit into the recipes and the end results were successful. Ingredients we could not substitute, we found online. Some old recipe standards have been given a fresh take; the outcomes are attractive and tasty.
Love the recipes in this book with 2 caveats: 1) this food is NOT for people trying to watch their weight; 2) some of the cooking times seem to be off (2 chicken dishes called for 50 min of baking yet were very undercooked for us). That said, delicious and simple recipes for people who love hearty and gourmet meals.
I ordered one as a gift. When wrapping it I looked throught it and decided to roder one for myself.
I like Tyler's style, his dishes are usually easy to make with a rich full flavor, sometimes I don't want to have dinner ready in 30 minutes or less
Tyler is one of my favorite chefs, but I enjoy them all. I especially enjoy and have tried many of his "Ultimate" recipes.
Tyler's French Onion in this Book is the best recipe ever - It is simply outstanding and the preparation amazingly easy for the complex flavors it delivers. This has become a home standard - save just a little wine for the glass....
