Something about a cleaver gives a cook a sense of confidence, especially for those prep jobs that involve lots of slicing and dicing. Asian cooks use these knives particularly for meals that involve lots of stir-fry ingredients. The wide blade easily slices through large vegetables, such as eggplant, bok choy, and even comes in handy for poultry and meat.
Made in Germany, each Twin Signature knife features a hand-honed, laser-sharpened blade using Henckels signature FRIODUR high-carbon, ice-hardened process for producing quality stainless steel knives. I have wanted a cleaver for forever, but thought it would be too big to be useful. Boy was I wrong, this cleaver is the best for chopping veggies and herbs. I absolutely love the weight and balance. It takes up a good deal of space on my magnetic knife strip, but well worth its space!
I bought this cleaver for my Hong Kong person daughter-in-law. She was so exicted to recieve it that she jumped for joy. The cleaver is well built, balanced and very sharp!
This is a big Cleaver. It will be great for chopping. If I ever get stranded without a hatchet I could always use it to cut fire wood. Love the knive.
srf2127,04052008. the cleaver just adds more excitement to everything
I can use it on and with....
My wife and I wanna to pruchase a cooking set, we spent 30 dollars on a whole set of multi-functional knifes from "Showing on TV" shop, some of them are working well, but some aren't.

Then we had to look for a good big cutting knife, some friends introduced this brand, Henckels, telling me this is the best over the world. We were very interested in it, but the price, WOW.... about 80 dollars including the shipping. We argued about the price, but since my wife is the "Head-master" in the kitchen, we finally purchased it.

It's a great product, there is not doubt about it. In that price, it should be. Anyway, I gave the best rate for this product and I will recommend this product to others. But they will buy it after looking at this price in this economic, I dont konw.

When you've come back from the market with cuts of meat or poultry, take a minute to divide or cut it into meal-size portions. Whatever you won't use immediately should go in the freezer labeled with contents, portion size, and date frozen. It'll make taking a freezer inventory much easier.
