10 in. Chef's Knife by Henckles is the BEST!
    by Sandra, OR

I've known for years that I wanted this knife but had a hard time finding this size. I could have ordered one from a local kitchen store but would have paid litterally twice as much as I paid at Cooking.com. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the price.

As for the knife itself, who could ask for more! As I cook fresh foods from scratch, a lot of cutting, chopping, mincing, dicing and slicing goes on in my kitchen. This knife has made my work much simpler and my time more effecient. It holds a great edge and when I do need to sharpen it, only a few swipes of the steel is required. I would reccomend it to any serious cook.

I plan to collect a full set of Henckles and you can bet I'll be ordering them from Cooking.com.

Sandy
Allegany, OR

First I need to explain that I love Henckel Four and Five Star knives. My husband would be surprised if there is a Henckel knife I don't own. That aside, this 10 inch Chef knife is a wonderful addition to my collection. I have a smaller chef's knife but discovered that when faced with big jobs such as cutting up a whole pork loin I needed a longer knife. It's also great for slicing open a watermelon or large cantaloupe. No more struggling. I just slice right through. Henckel Four and Five Star knives are wonderfully sharp. I've had some of them for over seven years and they still hold a keen edge. I use a sharpening steel when needed. These knives are expensive but they are worth the money. I watch cooking.com and buy on sale.

We love the knife, but it is too big for our knife drawer and we are having trouble storing it where it is available to use.

    Superb blade
    by Wolfgang, TX

This knife is a pleasure to use. It may be a little large for an average feminine hand size but it makes quick work of most cutting and chopping jobs in the kitchen and does so with great balance.

This knife is awesome! Great balance, excellent edge that makes one want to just to chop, slice, julienne just for the fun of it.

Here's a trick to remember the next time you're cooking with something leafy like cilantro: to quickly separate the leaves from the stems, hold the stems in one hand and shave the leaves off with a super-sharp chef's knife.
