DISAPPOINTED!

We bought the Food Network stainless pans at Kohls.Only the non-stick Food Network pans had a stainless steel steamer sold with them.We tried to buy one but none available for sale at Kohls or online. We tried this "Universal" steamer but it doesn't fit the Food Network pans.Still can't understand why we can't buy a Food Network stainless steamer for our pans! We didn't want the non-stick pans and that's the only way the stainless steamer is sold. Not sure we understand that. We love our new pans but are disappointed about the steamer. We have returned it for a refund.

Smaller than I thought it would be ( I now have to find a pot/saucepan that it will fit) however, it is very sturdy and feels like it will last at least 6 years.
I would love to get one in a bigger size though!

Good product, although pricey

I am very pleased with my steamer, although I do feel that it is rather expensive as an accessory product. I really like my Calphalon cookware, and didn't want to ruin it with cheap metal steamer insesrts that sit on the bottom of the pan. I didn't see any other options but to buy this product. I am glad I have it, and it's a good size for steaming lots of produce. Interestingly enough, although I have a set of cookware, it only fits one of my pots. If you steam a lot of veggies, and don't want to ruin your cookware, it's a must and worth the extra money.

It is universal. It fits tight on the three sized pots for which it was made. It is quality stainless steel and is designed large enough to steam lobsters, salmon, and vegetables. The glass lid is not fragil and can sustain some banging up. It is a great choice.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Steaming helps preserve the health benefits of your food because unlike boiling, the nutrients aren't removed in the cooking water. The gentle heat of steaming locks them in while cooking foods through.
