Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Roaster (14-in.) by Calphalon

Love this roaster. I understand the tri-ply line of Calphalon has been replaced by the Contemporary line. I was happy to get the tri-ply roaster before the line sold out -- and at a sale price. (I didn't like the handle design on the new Contemporary roaster and it has a brushed finish on the outside, which I didn't want.) This roaster was rated the top roaster tested by Cooks Magazine. I have All-Clad pots and pans, but their roaster is all stainless steel, and not clad like the rest of their cookware, so it is prone to warping when used on top of the stove to make pan gravy after roasting. I can't wait to use this on Thanksgiving.

This is a user friendly roaster and a good size for a lot of different meals.In our home we really don't need a pan for a HUGE turkey,but one that can do it all when needed any time of the year.The design of the handles is the easiest to grip and you're not getting caught between the pan and the oven walls as you do with handles that are straight out like so roasters.The weight of the pan is a plus when you do have that big turkey. The rack cleans up in a minute! But not so for the roaster. I am mostly Teflon free in my house (rack is non-stick)so I'm used to scrubing pans.

This Calphalon Tri Ply Roaster fits right into my busy kitchen along with all my other Calphalon pans. I'm partial to the Tri Ply line. I love the even heating that allows even cooking without hot spots or burning. Things brown quickly to perfection but still allows easy, quick clean-up. It's a great size for anything from a large turkey to chicken with vegetables (which makes a wonderfully flavorful gravy), roasted vegetables, beef, pork or lamb and even a company sized lasagna. This is the pan I reach for when I'm doing a company meal. Even with all the use, it still looks great. You can't go wrong with great tools and this is another one I'm pleased to add to my culanary arsenal.

Good quality. Does the job well without warping. Cleanup was easy. Worked perfect on a countertop induction unit. Well pleased with the product.

I ORDERED THIS FOR MY SON AS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT WHO IS A CHEF. CALPHALON WAS THE BRAND HE REQUESTED FOR OTHER PANS SO THAT IS WHY I CHOSE THIS ONE. WE WILL SEE WHAT HE THINKS WHEN HE USES IT. I WILL ALSO BE GIVING HIM THE SET I RECEIVED FOR BECOMING A LIFE MEMBER AND HOPE IT IS AS GOOD AS THE CALPHALON PANS THAT HE LIKES.
