    orange tongs
    by Laurie, WI
    February 12, 2008

Great tongs, but wayyyyyyy too expensive! Maybe for the east coast or the west coast this might be a nice price, but for the midwest, NO WAY! Bring the price down, please! Rachael's products do not need to be so expensive. Afterall, she's promoting 30 minute meals for people who don't have time for a big, fancy meal, so why not make her products affordable for us middle class who can't afford expensive kitchen utensils? Thank you!

This product was double the price on food network than at bj's club. there is no need for a product to be doubled cause it carries r. rays name. If I hadn't taken them out of the packaging, I would've sent them back. Way too expensive.

    Fantastic Tong Set...
    by Georgia, TX
    February 13, 2009

I ordered the orange set for myself a year ago and use at least one of the tongs everyday! They are great for salads; picking up items off a cookie sheet; turning bacon in a skillet; the list goes on. I have even used the longer ones to reach items off of the top shelf in my cabinets. I ordered the blue set for my mother-in-law this year. She is a great cook and is very selective about the items that she uses in her kitchen. She was thrilled! Great product--highly recommended.

    Mom loved them!

My mom asked me to get her "the tongs that Rachael Ray uses on her show" for her birthday. And... she loves them! She had always had the plain metal ones and she told me that she loves how these have silicone. At first I thought it was pretty pricey, but you get two pairs of tongs, and having two is really nice- for example, when you're grilling, you can use one pair to handle the raw meat, and then as it cooks, you can use the other pair so you avoid cross-contamination.

    Kind of flimsy
    by Jon, CT
    August 14, 2008

Bought these as a backup pair for my Cuisipro's but in a side by side comparison, they can't compete. There's an element of 'sideways' motion involved. In other words, when you're trying to grasp an object, you have to concentrate to get the tips to align. Also, the locking mechanism lacks tension and they frequently pop open in the drawer. All in all, not a good purchase.

    Gives you a pinch

When I use the shorter of the tongs I receive a pinch each time. This is quite annoying. I haven't noticed this pinch with the longer pair of tongs.

I love these tongs and I use them almost every time I cook, however, if you dont hold them just right you pinch your hand. Its not a big deal, but you asked my opinion.

    I feel like a professional!

I am really glad I ordered these thongs after seeing Rachael Ray using them on her show. I had just purchased new pans and needed thongs that I could use with them and not have to worry one bit about scratching my new wonderful pans. They wash up wonderfully; either by hand or dishwasher, and close for easy storage.

    Easy to control Tong
    by Kathleen, MA
    March 5, 2008

I have bought 2 sets of the Tongs for my husband and he loves them. They are easy to contol & use for they don't have that wide opening where you have to manuver to hold them. And the best thing is that they lock to close and are so much easier to store than the normal tongs that don't have a lock to close them and they just lay there taking up a lot of space.

T he tongs do really well in a very hot skillet. It makes it hard to remember to remove the tongs since I know they will not burn.

    Rachel Ray's Orange Tongs
    by Mary, CA
    February 19, 2008

I have purchased the Rachel Ray cookware because my last set of cookware, a very high end set, started losing the nonstick coating. I'm making sure I have all the proper utensils so this set doesn't end up the same way. I purchased this set of tongs for that reason, but I love them even if I didn't

    Great For Non-Stick Pans
    by Christie, TN
    June 17, 2008

I have ruined many a pans because of my metal edged tongs. These tongs are great no matter what type of pan you are using. The long tongs are great for using over a very hot flame because you are so far away from the heat.
