In a short time, Rachael Ray has radically changed the way America cooks dinner. Her perky girl-next-door swagger, her catchphrases for techniques, and her dinner ideology of simpler, less expensive and just-in-time have sold billions of books and made her one of the top personalities in food television.
I actually got to use this twice already - husband usually cooks not me, but I love it. And it was a so simple to clean...and no lost bristles. Great idea!!!
These brushes are great because they stay together. Some pastry brushes fall apart, but these seem to be made better. A nice bright color too.
This is the ultimate pastry brush for function and clean-up. Great sizes and are extremely durable. Hope they last a long time - I'm betting they will!
Haven't used them yet but I like the fact that I can put them in the dishwasher, as opposed to the wooden ones I usually use.
I have not used these very much yet.

An egg wash is the best way to give your pie or other pastry a beautifully browned crust. Gently beat an egg and thin with a little milk or water, then brush on the crust before it goes in the oven. The protein in the egg browns in the oven and also gives the pastry additional strength.
