Why crowd your countertop with a toaster and a toaster oven? Have it all in one appliance with the Hamilton Beach Toastation Toaster. It includes an extra-wide slot on top that fits two slices of bread or two halves of a bagel. The oven is equally spacious with enough capacity for two large pizza slices or two 5-inch personal pizzas. The switch from toaster to oven is easy. With the slide of a lever, the toaster slot is sealed, trapping heat for great baking performance. The controls are familiar, with a temperature control and a shade selector on the front and a push-down lever on the side for the toaster. With the compact design and stylish metal accents, the Toastation Toaster fits nicely on any countertop. The Toastation Toaster comes with a ready signal and a baking tray.

This appliance rocks!

A technological fusion in small kitchen appliances - it toasts, browns, cooks, stays clean and is way more fuel efficient than a 747. Bagels, breads, buns or english muffins get toasted just so plus you can cook, warm and brown items too. The best improvement possible on a pair of old tech machines in a contemporary and inexpensive package.
I do suggest that when cooking frozen appetizers and the like you should whittle down the instructed heating directions by 50-75 degrees rather than change cook time.

Disappointing
by Carlie, AZ
February 19, 2007

I've had the Toastation for a year and find it rather disappointing. The toaster portion is just OK for producing good toast, can't be popped up early without unplugging the toaster, and often launches the toast right out of the toaster when it pops up. The toaster oven portion has only a heat control unlike other toaster ovens that allow you to use it like a broiler.
If I'd known then what I know now, I would not have bought it.

Neither a toaster nor a toaster oven be...
by David, NY

...this thing. The toaster literally bends bread, so you get curved bread out. When it was perfectly straight going in. Go figure.

I suppose it is a reasonable compromise if you only use your toaster oven for really small stuff. But the clearance is very low, so that hurts too.

Sadly this thing is now in the closet. Ack.

I was looking for a toaster oven, but was pleased to find this item on your website. I felt I was getting two small appliances for the price of one. Our family has used both features (toaster and oven) on several occasions. It is a great buy!

I think someone has been reading my mind. I had wished for a product like this for a while, so I was excited to find it here. I was somewhat upset that I had to wait until it came back in stock, but my patience paid off. This is a great combo if you like a regular toaster for sliced bread, bagels, et cetera, but it's also a nice toaster oven as well. My wife and I were slightly disappointed that the oven tray was not longer (from front to back), but there's still room for 2-3 servings of food to fit easily. We also wish that there was a toasting feature and built in timer for the oven part, but what it lacks inside it makes up for on top.

Why did it take so long for someone to come up with this product! We love it. It doesnt take up much room on the counter. It toasts like a dream. The oven part is just right size for me and my husband. The oven part is a little on the small size as far as hight goes but it still does the job. Pizza slices, grilled cheese sandwiches etc are not a problem with the oven. I dont think doing rolls would be a good idea tho. All in all, I think this is a wonderful space saving item.

combination

I needed a new toaster oven and felt this was a good combination - I didn't feel regular toaster ovens did a great job toasting. It does a good job toasting. I have to be careful when using the oven, as it is hotter than I am used to.

toaster plus

I originally purchased this toaster oven for my son to cook his hot dogs without heating up the kitchen in the summer with the oven. Heats quickly and surprisingly evenly. Great at warming up pizza and pastries. OK for toast -- does better with English muffins and bagels if you use the oven. Cleans up nicely. Excellent value for the price.

It's a great purchase if you use both toaster and oven and would like the 2 in 1 feature. I am a bit disappointed, however, with the actual size of the oven. I was hoping for that extra large oven size WITH the toaster-slice oven. Still great, though.

2-slice Toatstation

Nice compact unit fits well on countertop especially in a small kitchen. Makes great toast. Toasts quickly and the bread is evenly browned. Oven bakes quickly but wish the oven was an inch or two taller to accommendate taller items such as rolls. Top heating element is placed to close to taller items and burns them. Great for cooking small individual pizzas or English muffins. Overall this product performs well and I am happy with my purchase.

I like the toaster/oven combo. Cooks quickly and evenly. My family really likes this oven. It is on the small size, so it fits well on the counter, just isn't deep for large food items.

I like the product overall. I might wish the oven was just a little bigger, but it works well for two people.

Don't have much countertop or storage space but need a toaster oven? This one gets the job done in a compact way. I like the construction and the ease of converting it from toaster to toaster oven and vice versa. I like the baking temperature dial and toast

Great 2-in-1 COMPACT toaster

this toaster is great, takes up less space than the toaster oven and toaster we used to have. It looks nice too, sleek, modern look. The toaster oven is on the small side though...only bad part we've seen in the toaster.

The toaster is too small to be a toaster or an oven let alone a toaster oven.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Toaster ovens go where no microwave can go; they're particularly convenient when you want the effect of an oven but don't have time for preheating. For example, breakfast is always made better with a little broiled cheese- try layering a bagel with fresh tomato, sliced hard-boiled egg, and a sprinkling of grated cheese. Pop into the toaster oven and a few minutes later you've got a complete, healthy breakfast that's packed with protein and flavor.
