This cookbook is more of a fascinating history lesson, than a cookbook one could use currently. Once you realize that "f" is used instead of "s" at the beginning and in the middle of words,it is easier to follow. There are many terms that are no longer used as well. But because this is the first cookbook published in the United States,I would recommend it for reading, which is the reason I rated it 5 stars. There is nothing else like it, and it is wonderful that one purchase a copy at such a low price.
