The Compact Smart Oven by Breville

Oh, my this is a marvelous little appliance. I had a Cuisinart toaster oven which was horrible, so badly designed but the Breville is a total charmer. <br><br>The crumb tray is accessible from the front (Hooray!) and I like the dial system - takes a few trys to figure out your favorite settings but if you choose say, bagels, use 3 as the darkness - voila - perfectly toasted bagels. Toast is done ok, I don't think toaster ovens are really created for toast. <br><br>I haven't made anything complicated in it yet but I'm betting it will come out perfect. <br><br>Love this toaster oven!

This is an amazing appliance. It is well designed for convenience sake in most regards, from labeling the rack adjustments to the type of cooking you're doing to the large easily readable LCD screen to the easy to remove, exterior access crumb tray.<br><br>One word of warning though. This is a very powerful toaster oven. 1800 Watts goes very much unappreciated when regarded as a number. However, when you feel the heat this device puts out, you will definitely appreciate it then. The oven distributes this heat differently depending on setting (evenly top and bottom when toasting, more heat on the bottom when broiling). It should go without saying that paper and plastic should be kept away while this oven is in operation. In fact the top of the oven can be used as a handy warming tray while something else is cooking inside.<br><br>Amazing little oven. Solidly built and well laid out. Definitely worth the expense at any price.

I have been very satisfied with my Breville Compact Smart Oven. My only complaint is that the oven temperature is a about 15 degrees lower than the indicated temperature. However, that is an issue with many ovens! Other than that I really like the oven.

I've used the oven for baking and for making toast. It works beautifully for both. It took a bit of getting used to for me but I think I've got it down. Would recommend.

It's the right size, heats quickly and is just what I need instead the range oven. Seems to clean up very easily.
