I should have had the initiative to go to an asian market and buy these items myself, as that would have been much cheaper. On the other hand, I bought the kit partly to help me get over my concern over making sushi for the first time, and that part worked. I now realize that the ingredients are not mysterious and it isn't very hard.

Other downsides: the plastic bag containing the rice had broken inside my package so rice was scattered throughout the box. In addition, the amount of nori provided was very small compared to the amount of other ingredients. When I went to the store to purchase more nori I realized just how much I had overpaid for this kit.

we bought this as a gift. you could have bought all the stuff in it for cheaper. however, it is presented well to give as a gift.

I think this sushi kit is great. I gave it to a budding sushi chef and quite honestly, the entire family had fun with it and the sushi he made. I think the kit makes it easy having everything you need in one place!

This is a wonderful way to make your own sushi unless you have never made it before. Direction are geared for someone who has done it before but sushi is not easily made the first time out.

I love it and now my son wants one.

This sushi making kit came with a lot of extras, sush as soy sauce, two types of vinegar, wasabi, and ginger. The only negative was that the instructions were a little too brief. Most of the book gave excellent instructions on how to make the rice, but not a whole lot on making different types of rolls. Overall this was a good kit, we enjoy making sushi and using this kit.

My nephew loves sushi so I got the kit as a birthday present for him and he was ecstatic. It was a great hit and contained all ingredients but the fish so he could start right away.

The 2 sets were purchased for my granddaughters.
They were recommended by a friend of mine who absolutely loves the sets.
I cannot honestly rate the sets as I've never actually used them myself, but my granddaughters will love them - of that I'm sure.

I got one of these kits for me and one as a gift for a friend that likes Sushi and

I got this for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. He enjoys sushi and we've not gone out for it yet, so I figured making it at home would be fun. I was right! And not only was it fun, it was yummy. The directions in the recipe book were very easy to follow, and other than having a little trouble getting every last grain of rice out of the bamboo mat while cleaning it, we had no problems! There are so many recipes to try, I think we'll never run out of ideas! A good tip, and the recipe book mentions this -- get *fresh* seafood for any sashimi. Nothing more than a few hours to a day old, and nothing that was previously frozen!

Success! We stuffed ourselves with cool looking (and tasting) sushi, first try. The ingredients are a great starter set, the bamboo tools were sturdy, and the cookbook explained the how-to, the etiquette, and the ingredients. Very happy with this "whim" purchase I debated with myself about for weeks.

Great and lots of fun to use!

This sushi kit was amazing!! It is the only one I've found that has everything you need for a great price. The directions were great and I've already recommended it to all of my friends! Great date night idea too :)

I gave this to my sushi fanatic sweetheart and he just raved! I did a lot of shopping around, online and in stores, and this set has the most to offer in terms of usable materials. The only thing it lacks is a serving set, but there are plenty to found here and elsewhere.

Shopping at the food network online was so easy. The item I purchased came before the date that was told... this was wonderful especially during the Christmas shopping season. Thank you for making this a good experience!

Bought this for my husband for Fathers Day since he and our three teens love sushi so much. WELL, every Saturday now its a tradition that they make it for lunch, and my husbands brother loved it so much he bought one as well!! It has everything for a novice or an expert. Our oldest actually used it for one of his college classes, part of his advertisement piece. EVERYONE loved what he made and he got an A. The book included helped so much too.
