Nothing conjures up a better image of bold flavors and a fiery grill than the mention of chef, restaurateur, cookbook author and television host Bobby Flay. More than 15 years after awakening palates across the country and changing the way America thinks about southwestern food, Bobby Flay launches a new line of trademark sauces and rubs.
The Mesa Grill and Bobby Flay Signature Collections - each based on Flay's favorite spice and flavor blend - were created to punch up the flavor of meats, seafood and poultry with ease. These unique combinations of sweet and savory flavors can bring out the master chef in every home.
- One 9.7-oz. Mesa Grill Steak Sauce: This sauce has bold, spicy and sweet flavors that are reminiscent of the Southwest.
- One 3.4-oz. Steak Rub: Rub generously on beef, pork or lamb before cooking to add flavor and spice.
This is very excellent steak sauce! We just loved it! Thanks!
While it's not the same as eating at Mesa Grill, it does save on some of the work of making this sauce from scratch at home. Pretty good overall.
We like our steak with sauce. We usually use Heinz 57. When we were in the Bahamas, we ate at the Mesa Grill. My son loved his steak and we ordered the rub and steak sauce for home. We love it and have told our family about it. My mom is going to order it too. It is both sweet and spicy. It is delicious.
I ate a steak at the Mesa Grill in New York and it came with the steak sauce on it. It was awesome so I ordered for myself on Food Network.com. It is overpriced and it tastes like cocktail sauce from the grocery store. I am very disappointed.
Love Bobby Flay so of course we wanted to try his sauce and rub. It turned out to be a little spicier then we had hoped, the rub is great for steak, I don't think we will get the sauce again, it was just personal taste thing, we don't enjoy that much spice.

Are you wondering what all the different labels on meat and poultry mean? In general, look for the terms "free range" (with poultry) or "grass fed" (with beef.) Both will have distinctly better flavor than regular supermarket meat or poultry, and it's kinder to the animals and the environment. "Organic" means the animals have been fed an all-organic diet, and is another term to look for- though it can sometimes mean a higher price point. You might also see terms referring to antibiotics or hormones- it's better to avoid meat or poultry that hasn't been fed either of them. Finally, you might also see the term "all natural", which is pretty vague, so make sure the label also tells you what, exactly, is all natural about it.
