We have 2 sets of these tongs and just love them. We have one for our home and one for our camper. We use them for everything from grilling to serving - great investment. Easy to use and grip well.

Oxo 16 in. stainless steel locking tongs

I purchsed two of these locking tongs: one for myself and one for a neighbor who also has a barbeque. The tongs are well balanced and comfortable to use. The excellent alignment and shape of the gripping surfaces makes it easy to turn and move meat and veggies on the barbeque. At first I thought these tongs might be too short for barbeque use because I was used to using longer and heavier ones. I was wrong! They were comfortable to use over the barbeque and heating discomfort was never an issue. The simple and ingenius locking feature is very convenient and is always engaged by someone when the tongs are used. The one fault I find with these 16 inch tongs (this fault is not present in the 9 in. and 12 in. sizes), is that the spring which holds the tongs open is not as strong as I would like. This fault is minor compared to the overall excellence of the tongs.

Tong arms do not flex

The biggest gripe I have about cooking tongs is that the arms flex too much when used on heavier cuts of meats, etc.
