Rounded corners make scraping loose bits or whisking gravies exceptionally simple. Pouring off liquids from any angle is easily accomplished with the rolled rim to reduce drips. When I received the ad for the All Clad roaster via email it seemed to good to be true. The roaster was a good price. The ad said that it was made in the USA and could be used on an induction cook top. Buying things made in the USA is very important to me. The roaster I received was made in China and could not be used on an induction cook top.
I called customer service and Rachel promptly arranged for its return at no cost and a refund.
My card was refunded in a quick and timely manner. But I did not get a refund for the shipping charge of $12.81 So I called again and talked to Austin and explained that since the item was not as advertised I wanted a refund on the shipping charges. I would not have ordered it if the correct information was on the ad in the first place I received the refund for shipping charges today.
The customer service at Cooking.com is very good. All I can say that if an ad seems too good to be true, it is. Call customer service to verify the information first before you order. The folks there will be happy to confirm everything for you,
I had bought this then just before totally removing from final box and readying for Turkey time, I caught a review about how this is not "all clad" in steel like the name of the company and thus "Will Not" work on induction top burners.
I love All Clad personally but why they would allow some one thing to not be made to the standards of their name is beyond me.
So, I ended up getting a Mauviel 5-clad roasting pan and it was fine for oven to burner top.
BEWARE re this product if you are Induction Top User
One one hand this roast pan is terrific. But I think it was designed with the handles in the wrong position, rather than facing out the handles face inwards, so it's hard to lift the pan. It's as though the handles were riveted in the wrong position. I would have paid a bit more for a better designed object but now since I've used it I don't feel as though I can return it. Too, the wire great could have been another 3/4" higher.
It has been a great roasting pan. I have already scratched the bottom despite being gentle, but that is life I guess. Definitely would recommend it.
If it came with a cover or lid it would have been perfect.

You'll see chicken in the supermarket labeled as broiler-fryer, roaster, or stewing. These terms describe the size, not necessarily concrete rules for their best cooking method. You can stew, fry, or roast any size of chicken, though big roaster chickens can be a little difficult to broil.
