Southern Gathering Stoneware Covered Casserole (2.5-qt.): Chestnut by Paula Deen

Beautiful baking and serving dish! I bought it to bake my sourdough bread in. I didn't notice the sides are not straight though, which I believe my bread will need. However, I can see baking beans or other such foods in it.

It's rated to 500 deg. My bread will bake at 450 deg. I'm going to try it anyway in this pot. I just hope the temp rating is not over rated! (the cooking dish I've been using IS rated to 500 deg, but the outside of the enameling is cracking. This is a replacement.)

I ordered this casserole as a Christmas gift. It looks great and the quality seems good. I like th at it's oven, microwave, dishwasher ready. My daughter-in-law can rate it since she will be receiving it.

I own another dish from your. Only used it for really special times. Was a fraud if it cracked I'd loose my fav dish. Have owned it for over 3yrs. and have only used it apprx 20 times. And trust me I have looked for another dish incase it was broken accidently. My niece was up to visit and she happened to be with me as I passed the section in Wal-mart where your pots & pans & cast iron cassarole are, I mentioned I wished I could find one like I have at home. Needless to say. I've used my new dish twice already. Thanx. And will pass on the word about your product. And yes, I know I'm long winded. And don't figure anyone will read this. But thanx again.
