This product, if it is the one you sent me, is way too small to hold 2 quarts.
I have a set of Calphalon anodized pans and thought this would be comperable. However, it is a bit lighter than some of the Calphalon line. It's okay, but not the greatest pot I have in the kitchen.
The lid doesn't fit properly. This is annoying, but I will keep it because it is too much hassle to send it back. From now on, I will buy utensils in a store.
It's the perfect size to prepare oatmeal for two every morning. I like the glass lid so that I can see what's going on inside without lifting the lid and letting heat escape. Although I wash it by hand every day, i find the outside finish still scrathes easily.
apparently calphalon has several grades of cookware or they are cutting back on their quality. This one is much thinner and lighter, The lid is a different size than the one that fit our original 2-qt pan, now we can't use our original lid, the old sauce pan and lid was a heavier grade and more durable, lasted almost 10 years. I don't expect this one to last even close to that time. Too bad because we really liked the orignial set we bought and have added many other pieces since that time.
