The silicone coated stainless steel handles make the pan easy to handle and are double riveted for safety.

The hard-anodized aluminum body spreads heat evenly, so foods cook without scorching or hotspots, even when you’ve filled the pan nearly to its ample capacity. The 4.5-inch height pan adds a domed glass lid, so the interior can fit a small chicken or roast surrounded by potatoes or vegetables. Pop the whole thing into the oven, and you’ve got an entire meal in one easy to clean pan. The pan is oven safe to 400 F/ 200 C for total versatility.

The clear tempered glass lid lets you see what’s going on inside the pot without having to lift the lid, so you can lock in all the delicious flavors. The artful curve of the lid automatically returns steam back to the food, so whatever you cook turns out mouth-wateringly moist and delicious.

    I love all my pans and am very careful how I use them wash them. Two of my pans have a nick or the steel coming off.

    WAS WELL PLEASED WITH THIS PAN.
    HANDLES DO GET HOT, BUT AWARE OF THAT NOW.
    HAD A PAN LIKE THIS BEFORE, BUT I THINK THIS IS BETTER.
    NOT A REAL FAN OF CALPHALON, AS HUSBAND BOUGHT A FULL SET FOR ME FEW YEARS BACK.MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO REALLY PUT IT TO GOOD USE.
    DID NOT REALLY NEED NEW SET OF PANS, BECAUSE AT MY AGE I HAVE SPECIAL PANS THAT I WAS USING. THIS NEW PAN IS GREAT.

    Good solid pan for the money

    I bought this pan to replace a 13 inch pan we had that used to be my husband's favorite. The only reason I did not give a 5 is because the handles get hot quickly and if you don't pay attention you can get get your fingers in trouble. It has silicone handles but it does not cover the entire handle so it is not as good as it could be. I don't know if the handle is too small for the pan, meaning it is too close to the bottom of the pan and of the pan itself, but heat travels rather quickly to the handles. Other than this issue, the pan is a good every day value. It cleans easily. I love to cook fried rice, omelets, even pancakes and fried cheese. Food slides out easily too.
