Simply Calphalon Nonstick Dutch Oven (7-qt.) by Calphalon

This is the first dutch oven that I have had that is light weight. It is great. My first experience with it was cooking pulled pork and it was terrific. Heats up quickly for browning and then pop it into the oven and forget it for at least 6 hours. The dutch oven was everything I wanted.

This pan arrived quickly, and I made one of the best beef stew I have ever made in it. Cleans up nicely and had very even heat.

I love this dutch oven and the fact that you can put it in the oven up to 400 degrees.

I noticed a small color difference in the outside location where the handle is connected to the pan. Not sure if this defect is enough to exchange for a new one with no defects. I do like the pan otherwise.

This is exactly what I was looking for. It is wide enough to lay spaghetti or ears of corn horizontaly without crowding.

I was happy to see this on sale because I have been wanting to replace some of my cookware and like the Calphalon products. This pot is great for soups, slow cooking pasta sauce, slow cooking meats. It is not heavy, which is important for me and clean up is easy. I really love cooking with this pot.

Love this dutch oven, very easy to clean & cooks evenly.

I'm soaking my Chick Peas now, look's like a great all around pot/oven, ask me tomorrow how the Anne Burrells / Stewed Chick Peas with Tomatoes -n- Zucchini was.

nice item right size for family cooking

This is a great product for the price. I needed a Dutch oven and this has fit the bill. I have used it for stews and chili as well. This pot heats up very quickly on our gas stove top. Much faster than my other Calphalon pots and pans, so it cooks faster and uses less energy. And goes straight to the oven. I love that!

size is super, good coating and finish, lighter in weight than I expected but once it's full of liquid that is a plus. my new favorite BIG pot!

This is the perfect size for large pots of soup, stews, etc. It will also be the correct size in which to roast pork shoulders that I make since it is oven safe to 450 degrees.

I have used this pan almost every day and it is perfect. I am 70 years old and cook a lot and there is nothing this pan can not do. Lid seals well, and it all cleans up perfect.

I have used this Dutch oven every day since I got it. I cant believe how fast it heats up on my ceramic top stove.

I have only had the pot for 2 weeks and made Chili twice and Potato Soup, both delicious I might add, but clean up was a breeze. Plus the 7oz pot size is perfect for creating these items for the size of my family. I love all the Calphalon products. I just wish I had more money so I could purchase everything. :)

I can use the dutch oven for so many things that I cook. and the price was the greatest deal ever. thank you.

While I believe this pot is a little lighter weight than other Calphalon pans that I have, it really serves the purpose. My other large pots are smaller in diameter with taller sides. This allows me to brown larger pieces of meat or poultry without having to squeeze the meat in the pan. The lower sides allow easier access. Works for me.

I was looking for a replacement for a dutch oven that wasn't flat on the bottom and thus cooked poorly on my flat topped stove top. I saw this one, ordered it, it arrived promptly and is fantastic. It is larger than the previous one, cooks evenly and is sturdy with a quality lid. I know I will be using this one happily for a long time.
