I love this little coffee pot, it's just the right size. Only problem is the handle - if there was some type of coating or something to keep it cool, it would be a great help. I often forget that it's hot and try and pick it up. Other than this, it's great.

I LOVE my new coffeepot, using it reminds me of being in my grandmother's kitchen in the mornings. The only thing that bothers me is that the handle gets REALLY hot! Other than that, it is totally awesome!!

The Paula Deen Percolator is good but it is not what I expected. True it is heavy duty but I couldn't get the top to stay down and I wish that it had a glass knob to see if your coffee is the right strength and had brewed enough.

Very cute. I have the matching tea pot also and love it. The coffee pot is a bit small and don't forget to grab a pot holder when you pick it up. The handle is very hot. But I love it anyway.

Learned very quickly that it does not have 'auto off'! Turn on and ignore is not an option.

    spout

    November 30, 2011

On the inside of the spout (where you pour) there are a couple of places where the paint is not covering the metal... I am somewhat concerned that this might result in rust in the near future... other than that, it's too cute...

    Nice memory of the past.

WE love the coffee pot. Really nice, however was a little disappointed in the fact that the hand joint where it was attached to the pot had a hole where the finish or glaze didn't fill in. It doesn't affect the coffee though. The look is great. Reminds us of days gone by. The price was very reasonable. Makes great coffee. However I've been spoiled and haven't had to wait for my coffee as we have a kuerig and it's almost instant. I have to sit by the stove to make sure it doesn't boil over when perking. And then wait, but it's only about 7 minutes after it starts to perk. The coffee taste is worth the wait. Thank you Paula.......love you

The coffee pot is good looking. However the handle gets hot and makes it impossible to handle w/o a pot holder. Makes mornings a little rougher than they need to be.

    No Glass Knob on Lid
    by Gayle, AZ
    June 10, 2010

I actually returned this when I realised how small the coffee pot was compared to what I had visualized. The final decision maker to return the percolator was when I became aware of the fact that there was no glass knob on top of the lid. I always knew my coffee was starting to brew when you could actually see the coffee starting to percolate in that glass knob.I don't believe this is the percolator for me. I don't want a huge boiled over mess on my stove top.

This si the 2nd pot I have had, I just received this one a few weeks ago. I was washing the pot and the top fell onto the plastic drainer oard and chipped. had only used it 2 times. The coating just flaked right off. I have a similar pot i use for camping that i bought at target, I think it;s a Coleman. I paid $16.99 for it and it's still not chipped and I've uused it outdoors

I realized from the photo what I was getting - but I was hoping for something just a little better. For example, I feel that a good percolator should have a glass on top through which to see the coffee color as it perks. I could have purchased the same thing for less at our local camping goods store.

    Cute Percolator
    by Elizabeth, OH
    October 25, 2011

I would have loved to receive a Paula Deen's percolator that was perfect. Unfortunately, the first one had the paint chipped off under the knob of the lid--I think this was because it was packed with the lid upside down and the strainer chipped the paint. The second one that I received, the lid did not match the bottom part. What a disappointment. I am hoping to still get this, but, at a local store so I can visually inspect it without causing others a lot of work--me, included. Overall, I have heard nothing but good things about this percolator. I have always had a drip coffee maker.

In a world of electronic appliances, it did not occur to me, nor did your online description indicate that the Percolator was stove-top, not electric. Nevertheless, I like the old-fashioned look. I recently purchased a set of your porcelainn nonstick cookware in blueberry, & would have preferred this percolator came in a matching color. I have returned the robin's egg blue, & will purchase a red one in its place.

this coffee pot is not what it says it is

I wanted a coffee pot so I could brew my own coffee as brewed coffee is so much better than the one cup makers, of which I have. However, this is far from an 8 cup coffee pot, it's more like a 3-4 cup pot. Also, you can't pick up the pot by the handle, because you'll burn your hand, you need a pot holder to pick it up. The look of the pot is great, the coffee is great when brewed, but the pot is oversized and you can only fill it one quarter of the way, so why is the pot so big??? I tend to over fill itover the fill line so I can get more than 3-4 cups out of it , but then you have to watch it before it boils so as to not flow over, if you keep the flame on low, you can put more water in the pot than it allows, as it's that big. .
