    The knives are sharp and attractive. I just wish that steak knives (for individual servings) had been included.

    I've been looking for a knife block without steak knives for awhile and finally settled on the Paula Deen 7-knife knife block set. The wooden block is great quality and not too large to place in my small kitchen. The knives however are not as sharp as I would have thought. Don't get my wrong, they cut just fine, but I was hoping they would make it easier to cut through raw chicken, meats, etc. They're just not as smooth as I would have liked but again the price is relatively low so you do get what you pay for. Also, I didn't realize how large 8 inch knives are... it comes with 3 of these and they seem unnecessarily long for every day use on meats/vegetables. All in all, this is a good product for the value.
