A good product, but do take care in the cleaning. After use it is recommended to rinse off the Sharpener. Be sure not to submerge as you will trap water in the plastic body and it is impossible to remove. Even with a quick rinse, it took a day or two for the body to dry out.

Ihad a one year old Santoku knife that was in serious need of a new edge. This sharpener brought it back to life.

The knife sharpener seems to work well for the smaller angle santoku blade. The item would be more versatile if it had honer and two different sharpener blades (fine and coarse) like some other units have.
