    KIDS COOKING

KIDS/PEOPLE LEARN BY WHAT THEY "SEE" MORE READILY THAN BY WHAT THEY READ. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE LACK OF COLOR OR VISUAL INTEREST. THERE WERE NO GRAPHICS AND NO COLOR PHOTOS. SPENT VERY LITTLE TIME REVIEWING THE RECIPES AND TECHNIQUES FOR THAT REASON. HAD PLANNED IT AS A GIFT FOR A GRANDDAUGHTER.

What a wonderful book! Easy-to-understand instructions. What is especially helpful is indicating what utensils are needed for the specific recipe. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

A lot of kids love to help out in the kitchen, but it can be frustrating finding tasks that that young hands to handle. Peeling vegetables with a vegetable peeler, measuring liquid and dry ingredients, and washing produce are all safe, fun kitchen activities that will make kids feel like a grown-up sous chef.
