Obvious to anyone except those who made it beyond middle school and don't yet realize, say, butter, heavy cream, fats, starches, etc, in general aren't very 'light.' - duh - not a worthy invesment in my opinion. So far I've tried 16 of these recipies. Though reasonably light and 'different', I've yet to find any I find 'inspirational' beyond average common sense by the average cook. Cooking times and temperature matters, taste and texture, flavor balance, presentation, etc.: I also have some concerns these recipies were not well kitchen tested after being penned. I suspect this cookbook more of a commercial vs. creative venture - despite much enjoying certain other Sandra Lee projects.
Great easy lowfat receipes. Easy to convert into Weight Watcher points.
My husband and I like to watch Sandra. I like the way she cooks. It's not like some of the other cooks who say, oh you have to use this certain type of ingredient but you can only find it in specialty stores. She is down to earth the recipes she uses you can find the ingredients in any store. I also like the way she gives ideas of different ways to set up the tables and she uses materials you can find very easy. Sandra is the best. Linda Contreras

Got the cookbook on sale. It does have some good ideas for busy people to be able to make "homemade" food.
Since my Husband and I have decided we need to lose weight I have been searching thru this book for ideas of receipes to prepare and have found several.
I love Sandra Lee and watch her several times a week but I can truly say that there wasn't a recipe in this book that I thought my family would eat - I'm disappointed!!!
It's full of great recipes and beautiful pictures of each dish. The recipes are easy to make and very delicious. Who says you can't eat great when you're eating light?

What I truly appreciate is that this type of cooking not only is Healthy but is always looks like it came from a famous Chefs kitchen and tastes terrific . Easy to prepare and fits any situation, whether its just a quick sit down or picnic dish you can count of these recipes to fit your budget and NOT ONLY LOODS DELICIOUS IT IS DELICIOUS....
Just what I needed at this time in my life. I recently had a triple by-pass and over the course of one and a half years I have lost over 100 pounds that I not only want but need to keep off.
