Brushed stainless is actually plastic but looks good.
The wattage appears to be slightly less than other sandwich makers that I have had in the past so it takes a little longer to heat up. On the plus side, this will allow the unit to last longer as it will not overheat if left on and not used immediately.
The unit is advertised as being deeper than the average maker but in fact is average depth or a little less than some, don't plan on overstuffing the sandwich with filling.
I have used this sandwich maker several times and it is easy to use and gives good results. The red/green lights make using it easier to use than some of the one light sandwich makers.
It cleans up very well, after cooling it can be wiped out with a paper towel, This includes burned on cheese and grease.
Good unit, great for the price.
I decided to have a grilled cheese maker to have in the office on days I didn't want to leave for lunch. It's perfect - we did grilled cheese, tomato & onion sandwiches. The only thing was I used a little larger bread and too much cheese so I lost some of it spilling over.
I love the grill. Easy to use and perfect size.
I've already made omelets, grilled cheese, and turkey and cheese sandwiches and just got this last week. The only thing I warn is that don't put in as much egg mixture as it calls for in the receipe, it overflowed out the sides but was still tasty. Its easy to clean up and cooks up in a jiffy!
I have only used it once but it did do a very nice job. My husband was very happy with his nice toasted ham and cheese sandwich. I will definitely use it more, after Thanksgiving.
I think this Sandwich Grill is great. My kids love as do I. The only thing that my wife and I where totally upset with is the sticker from Cuisinart that was impossible to remove fully. We ended up with a brand new Grill that is now scratched up and still has glue residue. Just doesn't make any sense.
This is a great piece for dorm rooms. fruit pies, pizza, grilled cheese, and an egg sandwich.
I use it mostly for making something like PBJs, or whatever else with bread, bananas, peanut butter. And it does a pretty good job. I think it takes only 60 secs to grill a sandwich for you. Its small, easy to clean and looks pretty cool to. I like it so far. Not to mention inexpensive!
It worked well but was a little hard to close if bread was thick.
Great price, works great with regular bread. Larger slices of bread, it is to small.
The grill heats up fast and the temperature settings seem just right - nice melted cheese each time. But cleanup is somewhat difficult - I used spray on non-stick and the grease dripped off the back and you can't fit anything unde the hinge in the back to clean it up. I ended up just accepting that it will be gooky back there.....
The sandwich grill is very easy to use and clean-up isn't difficult. My only complaint would be that there is no control over how dark or light it toasts the bread. We like our sandwiches a bit darker & crisper than this grill toasts them. Still, it's fun to use and we really enjoy it.
This is a product almost everyone would enjoy. We use it to make sandwiches and other fun family snacks and meals.
We are very pleased with the sandwich grill we purchased. It
is ideal for grilled cheese sandwiches and any other type of
sandwich you would want.
an excellent addition to any household that likes good food but doesn't want to wait around to make it..
What a fantastic item, I bought this for the family as a christmas gift my two sons have used it since we opened it.
It is very easy to use and clean up is simple. I would highly recommend this item. Michael
This product makes the best grilled sanwiches ever!! They dont stick like they do in the frying pan and cleanup is easy
I purchased this in hopes that it would help out with a quick lunch on the weekends. It is wonderful! It's fun to make different sandwiches and easy enough for my 8-year old to help! I even took it to work and we made pizza pockets there! GREAT BUY!
Great sandwich grill. Use it regularly 4-5 times a week.
I am very pleased with the sandwich grill. It is easy to clean and I especially like the green light that lets you know the sandwich is finished cooking.

The sandwich was named after an English nobleman named John Montagu, the Earl of Sandwich. In 1762, he accidentally created one of the world's most popular foods when he asked his cook to place his meat between two slices of bread, so he could eat his supper without interrupting his card game.
