My family could never live w/o this grill by Cuisinart. I have my son's friends coming in and out all day, everyday, and of course they are always looking for something to eat. I make all sorts of different types of things for everyone faster than take-out. All the boy love it, in less than 5 minutes their bellies are full.

Nothing sticks, sandwich pops right out. It's just great.

it's really too small for us...works well but it's more for a single person than a family of 2 or more, IMHO.

I am very pleased with the sandwich grill. It is easy to clean and I especially like the green light that lets you know the sandwich is finished cooking.

I was very pleased with this purchase. I bought it for my grandson who is a college student so that he could make healthy meals. Before I gave it to him I gave it a test drive and was impressed with the ease of use and the end results. I especially appreciated that it included some recipes with it as this will be a held to my grandson. The french toast is so easy to make. I was so happy with it that I have decided to get one for myself.

    Sandwich Grill is good option
    by Lawrence, TX
    April 14, 2010

I'm now able to make my own pocket sanwiches using whole wheat and what ever contents I choose and it only takes a minute or two longer. All sandwiches, so far, have been grilled evenly and the contents well heated. I do wish it had an on/off switch, as of now it's controlled by plugging and unplugging the grill.

I just made my first sandwich in it - grilled cheese. I love the lights and they work great. It cooked the sandwich in under 10 mins and honestly it probably should have been slightly less time. The sandwiches were good but cheese leaked out from under the lid and onto the front and back. Clean up was not difficult at all except for the few crevices that cheese leaked into. These were incredibly difficult to clean and took about half an hour with a toothpick and paper towels. Don't put too much cheese in your sandwiches or be prepared to spend some serious time cleaning it. Still, made a good sandwich and, for the price, I think was a good value.

This little sandwich grill is great. The recipe booklet could say lots more about cooking possibilities. Not only does it do great grilled cheese sandwiches, but you can do corn bread, mini-cakes, and more. Cleans up nice, too.

I was so happy to have found this sandwich grill at Cooking.com. I had given my grandson one for Christmas and his dog pulled it off the counter and broke it. I looked all over town to find another one but was unsuccessful so looked online and found this one by Cuisinart and it was a real bargain. I purchased it right away and now my grandson is happy again that he can make his own grilled sandwiches.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

The sandwich was named after an English nobleman named John Montagu, the Earl of Sandwich. In 1762, he accidentally created one of the world's most popular foods when he asked his cook to place his meat between two slices of bread, so he could eat his supper without interrupting his card game.
