Imagine. It's 10pm and that light dinner didn't quite do the job. With this gadget you can use the last two pieces of bread, the three pieces of left over breakfast sausage and the drying grated swiss cheese left in a ziplock to make a delicious and quick snack. This thing is great. It cooks fast. No smoking. And it cleans up with a damp paper towel. Nothing sticks to it; not to the inside or the outside. And for storage, just toss it on top of the frig. This is perfect for one of two people. Get a larger unit if you plan to serve larger groups.

Having only used it for sandwiches I cooks very nicely and the center remains very hot for longer than a pan fried sandwich would. It does flatten the food out which caused us to place the soft vegees like tomato and lettuce on after cooking.

Brushed stainless is actually plastic but looks good.
The wattage appears to be slightly less than other sandwich makers that I have had in the past so it takes a little longer to heat up. On the plus side, this will allow the unit to last longer as it will not overheat if left on and not used immediately.
The unit is advertised as being deeper than the average maker but in fact is average depth or a little less than some, don't plan on overstuffing the sandwich with filling.
I have used this sandwich maker several times and it is easy to use and gives good results. The red/green lights make using it easier to use than some of the one light sandwich makers.
It cleans up very well, after cooling it can be wiped out with a paper towel, This includes burned on cheese and grease.
Good unit, great for the price.

I decided to have a grilled cheese maker to have in the office on days I didn't want to leave for lunch. It's perfect - we did grilled cheese, tomato & onion sandwiches. The only thing was I used a little larger bread and too much cheese so I lost some of it spilling over.

This grill was recommended to us by one of my daughters college friends. It makes the absolute best melted cheese sandwiches! A must for every college student leaving home!

This grill is the greatest! We took it on vacation and it easily warned up take-out sandwiches. When I got home I then made a grilled cheese and portabello sandwich. Heavenly! It also is very easy to keep clean. I don't usually purchase small appliances, but this one is a keeper.

They should rename this Sandwich Fun - because that is what we are having with it!!! Sometimes a Pannini Maker is just too much - and it is fun to get back to basics!!!

The grill heats up fast and the temperature settings seem just right - nice melted cheese each time. But cleanup is somewhat difficult - I used spray on non-stick and the grease dripped off the back and you can't fit anything unde the hinge in the back to clean it up. I ended up just accepting that it will be gooky back there.....

The sandwich grill is very easy to use and clean-up isn't difficult. My only complaint would be that there is no control over how dark or light it toasts the bread. We like our sandwiches a bit darker & crisper than this grill toasts them. Still, it's fun to use and we really enjoy it.

I thought this appliance would take normal slices of bread and was very disappointed to learn (when I received the actual unit) that it only took 4

I love my sandwich grill, the only I wish it was a little bigger so I could use rye
bread with it, without cutting the crust off I use it at least three times a week
I love mine so much I have reccoended to my friends. It makes a mean pastrami sandwich,
or a real good grilled cheese.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

The sandwich was named after an English nobleman named John Montagu, the Earl of Sandwich. In 1762, he accidentally created one of the world's most popular foods when he asked his cook to place his meat between two slices of bread, so he could eat his supper without interrupting his card game.
