Bobby Flay is one busy guy. The Emmy Award-winner currently stars in four Food Network shows, owns six restaurants, and has also written ten cookbooks. After getting his first kitchen job at age 17, Bobby went on to attend the French Culinary Institute in his native New York City. With the 1991 opening of his first restaurant, Mesa Grill, Bobby established himself as a true culinary innovator, and today he is widely regarded as an authority on southwestern cuisine. Bobby has received numerous accolades during his career, including the James Beard Foundation's Rising Star Chef of the Year, an award that honors the country's most accomplished chef under the age of 30. Additionally, the French Culinary Institute, his alma mater, honored him in 1993 with its first-ever Outstanding Graduate Award, which recognizes the school's most accomplished alumni.
