Ellie Krieger brings a combined background of culinary skills and nutrition scholarship to Food Network viewers on her show Healthy Appetite with Ellie Krieger. Her extensive work as a nutritionist has earned Ellie national recognition as a trusted health professional. Prior to her Food Network debut, Ellie held the position of director of nutritional services at the prestigious La Palestra Center for Preventative Medicine where she worked with a team of physicians, psychologists and fitness specialists to create a multi-faceted obesity treatment program. Ellie is also a contributor to numerous magazines and has written two cookbooks.
