This is the best Thermometer I have ever used. Accurate, durable, easy to use and read. Money is tight these days and I couldn't afford to waste money on a poor device. I am so relieved that I truly got my money's worth in this device. I use it almost constanly in the kitchen and I carry it with me to remind me of things in the oven. I use it to check doneness, which it does at blazing speeds. I simply love the alarm features and the AAA batteries are available everywhere. The magnets on the back allow you to stick the device anywhere, shoot, I have even used it as a count down alarm clock.

I like the magnet that lets me attach the device to the stove while in use. Also the pre-programed settings for different meats and such along with the alarm. I find it very useful in the kitchen
