Perfectly cooked poached eggs in four minutes, then they slide easily out of the nonstick cups. Clear lid allows you to monitor progress without opening and releasing steam.

One minor problem was, after washing egg poacher, water collected underneath the knob area attached to the lid. I had to unscrew the thing and dry it out - minor inconvenience. Would recommend the poacher however, for the most part, it's a well made product. Eggs turned out great.

Solid - Sturdy piece of cookware

This is a great product overall. The pan is solid and a "feel-good" handle to hold on to. I wipe the insides of the cups with a paper towel that has a little olive oil instead of the spray on products, just because I want to ensure no-stick and the oil is healthy. The rings around the cups do not come off easily and I like that. They fit very snug and don't slop around like the rings on the R.S.V.P. model. I purchased that poacher first and sent it back (handle not sealed, rings slop around). If you enjoy the feel of solid quality in your cookware, then this is the poacher you need to add to your collection.

At first glance I thought the product was a bit over priced, but after the first use, I can heartily recommend it. This poacher is definitely worth every penny. The Demeyere is very well constructed and a snap to clean. The eggs have been perfect every time and I can also rate the recipes in the accompanying cookbook top notch. You'll enjoy this product.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

When preparing water for poaching eggs, add a 1-2 tablespoons of white vinegar. This will help the whites coagulate better.
