The only problem is using recipes printed on full size paper. They will fall over backwards and I have to prop something behind them to hold them up.

My search is over!

I love this product! I have been trying to find something to hold my recipe pages for a long time. I print off recipes and put them in plastic sheets then put in a binder. I would have to tape my recipe sheets to my cabinets while cooking. Now I don't have to. This little gadget is perfect.

This works!

I love this recipe stand. It's so nice to be able to have one of my recipes standing upright instead of laying flat on the counter. I've tried other products and propping the page up between things, but this works much better.

Recipe holder

Are you one of those people like me that lays down a recipe on a counter away from your prep area so you don't spill on it? Then this is your solution. The recipe rock holds it upright and stops you from running back and forth to see the next step or ingredent. It's right in front of you without taking up your counterspace and when finished it tucks away in a cabinet.

Although I still buy some cookbooks I find most of my recipes being printed from various online sites. This little gadget has made cooking in my kitchen so much easier. This is the perfect gift for any occasion for those who love to cook.

The item works like you would expect it to and is easy to remove from your kitchen counter when not in use. My only complaint is that I just saw it in red at Crate and Barrel for $8.95.

Great Rock

This is a terrific tool. It is small, sits on my my windowsill and really goes unnoticed, but, this is a mighty little tool. Hold all shapes of papers, the curve holds it to view easily. Small enough to sit anywhere but strong enough to hold what I need.

Recipe RoHands Free Single Page Recipe Holder
by Albert, AZ
June 24, 2012

Most of the recipes that I use are single or double pages printed off of the computer. I have tried numerous other methods of holding my recipes so that they couldbe easily viewed. None worked until now. The Recipe Rock holds my single page recipe at a perfect viewing angle and is small enough to easily move if needed. I actually bought two, since I sometimes prepare two recipes at once. Now I can have both recipes at different locations within easy viewing. Great product; reasonably priced. I will buy several more for gifts.

It holds those recipes you printed off the computer as well as recipe cards. I love how little counter space it uses and how easy I can move my recipe around to where I need it.

why you need a recipe rock

Many of us get our recipes from the internet, and this is great way not to get it dirty (as we got our index cards dirty when baking/cooking)....and to hold it upright for better reading.

The Magnetic Rock keeps your printed recipes upright, easy to read and clean. It's so small and compact that it's a welcome new gadget for my small counter space. I love it.

This item is so clever I wish I had of thought of it. It really does hold a piece of paper in the right position!! Really does solve the problem. It's also a lot of fun when I ask visitors "Guess what this is". I get a lot of funny answers, and everyone is really amazed when I show them what it does!!!

Not like I expected
by Alan, IL
August 26, 2012

I love Rachel Ray products but this was not as I expected from the picture. It looked much larger online. For $14.99 it is extremely small. Because it's so small the magnet is in the middle of the card and it's impossible to see the whole recipe card. I would not recommend this!

I have a loose leaf binder with all my recipes in it and the book takes up a lot of counter space when it is open to the page I am working from. With this recipie rock, I can pull a single page out of the binder, stand it up in the rock and it takes up MUCH less valuable counter space. Keeps the book cleaner too. GREAT gift idea for the home cook.

This little gadget is amazing. When the recipe card or paper is set in the holder, it is at a perfect angle for viewing. I plan on giving all my friends and family one for the holidays.

Great product

I print so many recipes from the web now but most are spilled on and all beat up from lying on the counter as I cook. This product completely does away with all that - it holds the page straight up and keeps it out of the way of spills, etc. And when its not in use, its small, so easy to store. It really works, and doesn't cost a fortune!

When I saw the size of the rock, I wondered if it was big enough. Trust me! It's plenty big enough and really does a great job, even with just one typing sheet recipe (printed from the Internet, of course)! I'm sharing my find with others, this Christmas!
