You may have seen cookbook holders that are designed to keep your large cookbooks propped open and elevated above the counter. They help keep the cookbook free of stains and splatters keeping the book off the counter surface. These racks are a good idea, but if you typically use recipe cards or recipes printed on regular paper, a cookbook holder is impractical. Recipe cards and loose pages will not work on these racks. They may slide off, or your pages can blow all over the kitchen if a window is opened.
The Recipe Rock is the perfect solution for this cooking conundrum. This nifty little gadget will help you keep your recipe collection neat, clean and free of stains and splatters. The Recipe Rock is a curved, resin "stone" into which a strong magnet is embedded. It has a large metallic ball that sticks to the stone by magnetic force.
To use the Recipe Rock, you remove the metal ball from the Recipe Rock and place your recipe card or page over the magnet. Then you set the metal ball in place. The magnetic force between the ball and the Recipe Rock holds your recipe firmly, much like a refrigerator magnet would. The magnet is strong enough to hold multiple sheets of paper or even index cards securely. The curve of the Recipe Rock helps your pages stand upright.
Never again will you have to try to peel a recipe card from your counter after it has been glued there by honey, corn syrup or another sticky mess. If you prefer to cook from Internet recipes, don't place your expensive electronics in danger of spills or messes. Print your recipes, and cook while the printed paper sheets stand upright using the fun and versatile Recipe Rock.
Holds 8 plus pages.

I bought two Recipe Rocks while they were on sale. This little product is so amazing. Strong enough to hold most of my recipes. Doesn't take up much needed space on my counter top. I'm also going to use the Rock on my craft table. It will be perfect for holding instruction sheets or a photo of painting projects. My biggest concern is the metal ball that could fall on the floor and be picked up by my little dog or a small child. I wish they had attached a cord of some kind to the ball and the base to make the Recipe Rock a safer item for most consumers. For this reason I'm giving it four stars.
The recipe rock is really great. It's small, so it doesn't take up a lot of space. And it holds recipes really great--very strong magnet. So the recipe is right there for me to read at a glance whenever I need to. I really love my recipe magnet. And I got several for Christmas gifts, so others can experience the convenience too. It's the best.
love these recipe rocks. they hold the recipe page securely and the page does not bend over. I had my doubts but they really work great.
