I was excited when I first saw this, and even more so when it actually arrived. The knife has good balance and is really good for rocking style chopping. I have been using it daily for about 2 weeks. And it's pretty inexpensive. But: - It seems to dull quickly. It already will not cut through the skins of ripe tomatoes (it’s late summer) - The grip gets slippery when wet. Careful. - It’s heavy. I only notice this when not using the rocking chopping style - It seems to be picking up spots and water deposits (Yes, I hand was every time and leave it to dry vertically in the rack, like my 25 year old Wustofs) ) My bottom line: This knife is a close miss, and could be improved. It should have had a Santoku or Granton style hollow ground scalloped blade which would have made it much more practical for general purposes and given it a longer lasting edge
The knife is great, but I could REALLY use storage case to keep it protected between uses.
Well balanced, good grip, sharp, made of good steel
This product is very hard to store saftly without a holder. the packaging is not good enough. It needs a holder to keep on the counter like the other RR knifes.
I really like the feel of the rocker knife. It has good weight and a non-slip handle. It does a great job of mincing and dicing.
I love the products -- I just wish they weren't so high priced.
This has quickly become my favorite knife. My only question I haven't solved is where I'm going to store it. It's too big to store with my other knives. The handle is very comfortable and the blade does all I could ask. I hope it stays sharp for a long time because I am no good at sharpening. I'm too impatient.
I love this knife! I use it for almost everything and it makes quick work of it. The only "issue" I have is that it's so big! I really like my smaller, lighter knives, but I think the bigness will just take some getting use to.
Love the knife. It has a good balance and is easy to use because of the width of the blade. However, it said it would be shipped with a blade protector, and it was not in the package. I for one would like very much to have the blade protector as advertised.
Too easy to cut yourself without a cover.
The knife has a good heft, balance, and feel in the hand. The unique handle moves your hand forward over the blade to a good balance point. The wide blade has enough weight to add power when chopping, and the depth gives a good feel of the blade position and angle. The last bit of the heel of the blade is not ground to a sharp edge, to avoid nicking the hand of the user. The blade is hollow ground and easy to sharpen.Brand new, it was "OK sharp", but a little work sharpening the edge makes it a super knife. I like this knife. I find myself reaching for it often.
I really like the chef's knife. I would really like to have the exact knife in a smaller size also.Maybe a 4 or 6 inch knife would make a very nice set for everything use.
I bought this at first because it was one of Rachel's knifes and had a quirkey look to it, but I've had a chance to use it now and it is just the coolest addition to my collection. Sharp and works very well with providing more overall blade space. Totally recomend to others.
I really really like this knife, I just wish one thing...that it came with a sleeve to cover the blade. I take my knives to work sometimes to cut up things fresh for lunch/dinner and it is hard to transport a sharp knife. Other than that I am very impressed with this knife!
I LOVE this knife.
This knife has made me realize what bad knives I have used int he past.
Comfortable and it makes cutting through meats, veggies, and everything else so easy. I used it when I cut squash, rutabagas and sweet potatoes.
LOVE LOVE LOVE it
The rocker knife should be a tool in all kitchens. I do so many stir fry dishes that require so much cutting that this knife really helps prepare food so much faster. If anyone has a weak wrist it takes the stress off of that joint. Love it.
I have never had a knife like this one. I just love it and using it for chopping is quite an experience. Good job!!!
I really like the versatality of the knife and the quality and feel. The price was a bargain I bought 2 one to give away as a gift.
I love the versitality of this knife. Also, the balance of the handle makes prepping so much easier. I loved it so much, I bought additional ones for my sisters and brother. I plan on giving them for Christmas.
It is a little heavier than I would like, but it is well balanced.
