I was excited when I first saw this, and even more so when it actually arrived. The knife has good balance and is really good for rocking style chopping. I have been using it daily for about 2 weeks. And it's pretty inexpensive. But: - It seems to dull quickly. It already will not cut through the skins of ripe tomatoes (it’s late summer) - The grip gets slippery when wet. Careful. - It’s heavy. I only notice this when not using the rocking chopping style - It seems to be picking up spots and water deposits (Yes, I hand was every time and leave it to dry vertically in the rack, like my 25 year old Wustofs) ) My bottom line: This knife is a close miss, and could be improved. It should have had a Santoku or Granton style hollow ground scalloped blade which would have made it much more practical for general purposes and given it a longer lasting edge
The knife is great, but I could REALLY use storage case to keep it protected between uses.
Well balanced, good grip, sharp, made of good steel
This product is very hard to store saftly without a holder. the packaging is not good enough. It needs a holder to keep on the counter like the other RR knifes.
I really like the feel of the rocker knife. It has good weight and a non-slip handle. It does a great job of mincing and dicing.
