The knives & handles are a great design, are very sharp, cut and feel very well when using them! The storage block is not quite as fantastic as the knives; the knives do not fit as pictured (backwards) and the scissors not as pictured also. The block has a few undesireable cracks in the wood and the softness of the wood will get gouged from the knives quickly. The "breathable" block design is nice though.

I got the knives for my parents because I had used them before and the grips are wonderful when your hands are wet or if your dexterity isn't what it used to be. The blades are of good quality and stay nice and sharp. I like the way they handle.

I bought these knives as a wedding gift but after having a look at them decided they would be happier in my kitchen. I like the soft grips as well as the weight and balance. Two of the knives were not as sharp as they ought to be, but that was quickly remedied. I look forward to many years of using these knives. Another thing i like is the block they come with. Instead of the usual massive hunk of wood, these have a nicely designed block that uses less counter space.

The knives are really nice but they don't fit in the bamboo block as pictured. Not a big deal I just hate looking at knives that don't all line up in the block. Other than that this is a great set for a home chef. The knives are well balanced and extremely sharp.

Only draw back is the wooden holder sits too high and won't fit under the cabinet. The handles are great; won't slip.
