Wow, knives have never had an edge like they do now! Sweet!
It took a while to get the hang of it but once you do, you will not be disapointed. Knives are razor sharp and hold their edge for a pretty long time. I did not give it top scores on how it works as expected as to I have done alot of research on these and know they work good. I had no issues decribed on the low reviews. Good unit. Lives up to its claims.
I gave my old reliable knife sharperner to my brother for his RV and, all of a sudden, I didn't have one. I immediately thought of Paula Deen - found an electric one in red (matching my kitchen colors) - read the reviews and bought it. The directions are terrific, and even better that that it works!!! Hurrah for Paula Deen!
I have had this product in use for only a few weeks, so far, im very satisfied with the results that i get from it, i may purchase another for my sister. The red color that i chose is very attractive.
I am from Israel, and learned about your product from the Internet.
As I understood from a previous communication with your representative,
you do not manufacture these tools for 220 Volts, and do not ship international.
I recommend you DO !
It is not an easy proccess - but having it shipped here and using a transformer
we are extremely happy with the product and just hope we have no unpredicted problems.
Thanks,
Sincerely,
Ehud Leibner
This was so great. I have some old knives that desperately needed sharpening, and to my surprise, they came out beautifully! Now I don't have to buy new knives!!!!!
Well-designed and easy to use. Includes three stages, two of which aren't usually necessary for everyday use, but handy for those once-in-a-while re-edgings. Lightest (everyday) stage is also capable of sharpening serated knives, a particularly handy feature.
I had some very, very dull knives and although the sharpener does leave a few scratches on the blade, I now can use these knives again.
I thought this was a bit pricey for a knife sharpener but it works great. I'm glad we bought it.
This device sharpens everything beautifully and easily. If you have a good knife collection it is a 'must have'
The sharpener was easy to use and quickly sharpened all my knives to as good as new (or possible better!)
Have always wanted a professional knife sharpener and now have finally found one that works as advertised.
Clear instructions, easy to use, and
I just recieved my Chef choice knife sharpener in the mail and got out all of my work knives. I have a wide selection of chef knives ranging from Henkels to Wushof and Global. I was very happy with the way this machine performed. All of my knives are RAZOR sharp once again. Read the instructions, each slot ( 1 -2 -3 ) have a purpose. It was very easy to use. I highly recommeded it to anyone that is thinking of buying one. You will never have dull knives again. I did not know that Chef choice makes a commercial type sharpener. Wow, if mine works as good as it does, that one must be pretty awesome. Thank's once again for a very good product.
When you spend an obscene amount of money on good knives you hope they will keep their edge forever - but the reality is, all knives need sharpening sooner or later. I invested in this Chef's Choice 3-stage knife sharpener based soley on the reviews posted and know it was a wise decision. The sharpening power is impressive and the housing materials are substantial enough for a long life. I'm counting on this being one of my most important kitchen staples.
This knife sharpener is easy to use and looks great in crome on the countertop. I am guilty of letting my knives get VERY dull and never learned the stone sharpening methods which I never would have had time to do anyway. I spent 90 mins out fo the box sharpening two full set of knives however, they had been dull for several years prior to my finally buying this product. I must say, it is wonderful to actually have usable knives (and they get sharp as heck) in my kitchen again!
I received this knife sharpener about two years ago and it worked great, so I gave one as a gift this year.
Best sharpener I've ever used. The first time sharpening a knife on this device took rather long. It required many more passes through the first and second stage than recommended in the instruction manual. I'm sure that has to do with putting the right sharpening angle on the knife. But once sharpened the knife was exceptionally sharp, almost razor like; much sharper than when I first bought the set of knifes. It's a snap to maintain the sharpness by just running it through the third stage a couple of times. The sharpener is relatively expensive, but well worth the money if you have a nice set of kitchen knives that you want to remain useful. This is a good value when you consider how expensive it is to take a set of knives to a professional sharpening shop. Plus you're not without your knives while they are away getting sharpened.
This sharpener hones the blade to the correct angle without producing temper-destroying heat. Only a few seconds on the diamond homing discs are required to remove significant metal. The third wheel is a leather-like strop that puts the final, razor-sharp edge, on the blade. The edge produced is extremely sharp and durable. Running the blade through the third
This was a gift and he loves it.

Contrary to what you might think, a sharp knife is actually safer than a dull knife. The important thing to remember when chopping and cutting is to let the knife do the work for you. A sharp knife allows you to do that, but a dull knife requires you to exert more pressure to get the job done, which means your hand has a greater chance of slipping.
