I have an electric stove and trying to make stir fry with a traditional wok sucks at best...this wok was ready to go..blessed it with some fresh greens and oil then started sauteeing some garlic Ginger, bok choy add some noodles. the food cooked quickly and was perfect, then a quick rinse set it back on stove to dry, add little oil and were good to go nice product.
This wok is a good size but I don't like the fact that the inside of the pan is not smooth. It has ridges and things stick to the pan. I have other cast iron skillets that I use but this is completely different
Have had many woks in the past and I toss them after a few uses so it has become a joke everytime I mention buying a wok. Well this wok is worth every penny. It cleans right up after use and a dream to cook with!
I would highly recommend this Wok. It is 2 inches larger than my last layered steel wok and yet weighs but a little more. Cast iron seems to be the top choice for woks based on my online research and this is a good choice.
