I love soft boiled eggs, my dad got me started on them when I was little, and love the flavor of them. It has been since I was about 10 that I have had a successful , good soft boiled egg, until the timer came. I had the best soft-boiled eggs that day and plan on making it a saturday tradition for myself. Thanks Paula for finding this great gadget, I thought my soft boiled egg days were over, but thanks to you I can enjoy them again :D
Works perfectly. I could not be more pleased. I will order more of the egg timers for friends and my daughter. Thank you Paula for your great products. And your wonderful recipes. Sara Stokes
I love this little gadget! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because it gets REALLY hot and the instructions say not to put cold water on it. I had to either scoop it up with a spoon or pick it up with a towel. Not a bad thing, just not PERFECT! HA! The price I think is a tad high, but not high enough that I didn't buy 5 of them (1 for myself, and 4 to give as prizes for a "Welcome to the Nest" baby shower - they were a HUGE hit!)
I have yet to pull the eggs at the right time. Fortunately I mainly cook the eggs hardboiled so timing isn't as crucial. We eat a lot of hard boiled eggs in my house, I boil 3 dozen at a time 2-3 times a week, was hoping this would help me get it exactly right and maybe they would ALWAYS be easy to peel.
I bought one for my recently graduated daughters and myself. Works great!

There isn't a difference between brown eggs and white eggs, either taste-wise or health-wise. It's just a matter of which breed of chicken they came from. Regular eggs are great, but organic, free-range eggs are just incredible. Better yet, stop by your local farmer's market and get eggs directly from the farmer; they'll likely be as fresher and tastier than anything you find in the supermarket.
