Another wonderful cookbook from Paula Dean, filled with great classic receipes and stories from her life. Watching her cooking shows, reading her cookbooks and having been to see her do a cooking show; brings back such wonderful memories of my parents and other family members who made cooking so much fun. As a child, my family was always in the kitchen, even the men, and that was where all the great stories were told and lots of love. I guess I associate cooking with family and friends and making wonderful memories. Thanks Paula for sharing your kitchen, family and love with all of us.
I love watching her on TV and Now I love reading all the things she has in this book. I have pretty much shelved the rest of my books and refer to this one. It is full of great tips and funny stories as well as Rockin Recipes.<br>You cant go wrong with this one. Great Gift to!
As a visual person, I prefer cookbooks with pictures of the recipes. I dearly love Paula, but had I known this book had no photos, I wouldn't have purchased it.
Item purchased on behalf of another individual and they were pleased with item. It is a cookbook in standard book form so the recipe page being used must be weighted down to keep the book from closing when following a recipe.

When you're making pie dough the key is to work quickly and keep the butter as cold as possible. This will ensure your dough retains pockets of fat as it bakes, which in turn creates the buttery, flaky crust we all love. That's why it's best to make a pie on a cold day, or in a well air-conditioned room.
