Hey Readers, I think I've purchased almost a dozen of these pots. I use it maybe 5 times each week for different meals. I still am using my first one and we like it so much the others were purchased for wedding gifts. Bye, bye old colanders. This is all you need.

I rated the product as not a good value for the price. I already own an 8qt size, that I paid $30 at Sam's, which is good for more than 1lb of pasta. I wanted a 6qt size which is just right for 1lb of pasta and I can store the larger one elsewhere. I ordered the 6qt size priced at $56.99 Amazon/boomtek, but was sent the 8qt . Amazon or boomtek did not respond to my compaint.

I ultimately gave the pot from boomtek to my daughter. So my 6qt pot ended up
costing $161.92 I am very happy with the quality of Tamontina and the 6qt size
but not the price of $100.94.

Just the right size... not too heavy. Handled a pound of spaghetti with ease!

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Resist the temptation to add oil to your pasta cooking water. Sure, it'll prevent the pasta from sticking together, but it also means that your sauce won't stick to it either! If you're worried about pasta sticking together, just be sure to stir it occasionally while it cooks.
