No waiting for a big pot of water to boil. Cook pasta to al dente perfection in the microwave! Saves time, energy and water. Use with spaghetti, fettuccini, macaroni, lasagna noodles, rotini and more! Features water level guides on the container which indicate the exact amount of water to add. There are measuring holes in the lid, to precisely determine exact serving sizes therefore eliminating guessing and unused pasta. The lid also functions as a colander for straining.
Conventional stove-top cooking requires approximately 20 minutes to boil water and approximately 10 minutes to cook pasta while stirring, sampling and stirring to determine when it’s done.
Fasta Pasta™ cooks pasta in 15 minutes or less, depending on serving size, without cook intervention to stir, sample and stir. Fasta Pasta™ is great for making pasta salads, spaghetti, linguini, lasagna noodles, a variety of vegetables and more. Fast Pasta has also tested non-starch based pastas (soy) and they cook perfectly in Fasta Pasta™. Because the cooker’s environment is “engineered” it’s very precise and perfect for cooking soy, rice, corn, and wheat based pastas.

I included this when I ordered some other things thinking I might get some use out of it. What a surprise for me because it works exactly like it says and I use it often. Makes enough pasta for one, two or more. You wouldn't use it for a large group but that's not the purpose. The directions are easy and accurate. Works great for pasta salad too. Takes more time to hardboil eggs for the salad than make the pasta. I made corkscrew and elbow pasta too and it cooked perfectly. One suggestion I have is about adding salt to the water because the directions don't include it. I add salt when the directions say to stir the pasta once during the cooking time. Probably you could put the salt in the water before you start the cooking process. Easy to clean...just put it in the dishwasher.
So far so good. I hated waiting for the water to boil, adding the pasta, then trying to drain the water without spilling hot water on myself. This works perfectly, just as advertisted. Every piece of the pasta was cooked correctly without any sticking together.
product works well. The box is a little too small in design.
I bought this on a whim as i was ordering something else and did not expect to be won over. But I have to say, it is a pretty handy gadget. I love that I am using less water and one less dish, and I can easily make pasta for two in no time at all. I was one of those people who thought cooking pasta in a pot of water was as easy as cooking gets, but this is even easier! Saves time, water, and clean-up.
I tried this with Gluten free pasta. No matter what length of time for cooking selected, the pasta turned to mush.
