The toaster is big in comparison to the toast slots. The toast slots are a bit small. I have trouble with larger artisan loaves. I typically have to angle the slices in and flip. As far as even and golden toasting goes, this toaster is marvelous. I wish there were a lift mechanism to get at smaller slices.

Very good toaster with a very good price. I've used it several times - each time with perfect results. For the money, I definitely would recommend this toaster as a "best buy".

I bought this for my husband who hates the toaster oven. He really likes it too. Toasts evenly - great for English muffins.
