KIDS/PEOPLE LEARN BY WHAT THEY "SEE" MORE READILY THAN BY WHAT THEY READ. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE LACK OF COLOR OR VISUAL INTEREST. THERE WERE NO GRAPHICS AND NO COLOR PHOTOS. SPENT VERY LITTLE TIME REVIEWING THE RECIPES AND TECHNIQUES FOR THAT REASON. HAD PLANNED IT AS A GIFT FOR A GRANDDAUGHTER.

A lot of kids love to help out in the kitchen, but it can be frustrating finding tasks that that young hands to handle. Peeling vegetables with a vegetable peeler, measuring liquid and dry ingredients, and washing produce are all safe, fun kitchen activities that will make kids feel like a grown-up sous chef.
