The Aerogarden meet all expectations. Unfortunately, it did not arrive with the specified lettuce mixture so we got an extra pac of herbs. The seedlings are thriving and we are excited to see the great lighting in the unit. It will be wonderful to have fresh herbs the year around.

The AeroGarden works so well for us that we now own three of them. They really grow great produce with no sprays or toxic chemicals. The herbs are fantastic and the lettuces taste so good because they are fresh. We live in a villa with no room for a garden. This is the next best thing. They are hassel free and very easy to use.

Would not purchase again

I bought this because I have have not had much luck growing herbs in the past. I had no expectations of this being cost effective but I figured I would always have an ample supply of fresh herbs. Wrong. The seeds have sprouted but the yield is very small (so far). The grower takes up a lot more counter space than I expected and is not all that attractive. I am hopeful that in the weeks to come growth will take off and it will look like the advertisement with full lush leaves. I'm wondering if the Chia herb garden wouldn't have been a less expensive and better looking alternative....

It's one of those kitchen conundrums that's so darn irritating: how come grocery stores only sell fresh herbs in such big quantities, when most recipes only call for small amount? Keeping herb plants such as basil, mint, thyme, and rosemary in your kitchen will save you time and money. When you need herbs for a recipe, you can just pick them right from your plant instead of running to the store, and better yet, you won't have any leftovers wasting away in the fridge.
