The perfect gift for a new bride . . . the basics are always handy to have on hand in a great cookbook. Easy to read and follow!

I was looking for a book with more basic instructions and providing more definitions for different cooking terms. The recipes are good but without knowing what some things mean (for example "mince") it's not necessarily helpful. Not a bad book but not what I expected. If someone is looking for a cookbook with mostly recipes then, yes, I'd recommend it but if you're looking for basic instructions even before getting to recipes this book doesn't seem to fit that.
