I am new to the burr grinder as I have always used a little Mr. Coffee blade grinder, and I have to tell you this - I was really missing out! I am still in the habit of putting in only enough beans for my pot of coffee, but this grinder will actually hold 8 oz of beans. It's a little loud first thing in the morning, but so was the other one. I like the hopper into which the ground coffee falls. It is easy to remove, easy to pour, and easy to replace. I like 'easy' first thing in the morning! There is a timer on the side, and a pulse button on the front in case you just need an extra second or two. The coffee comes out nicely ground and uniform in size. I am so glad I decided to give this grinder a try! I'm not going back to the blade grinders now. I'm already spoiled!

Worth every penny

It is apparently worth every penny I paid based on my husband's response to its performance. My husband roasts his own coffee - many different varieties - and needs the low-heat grinding and great flexibility in grinds that this machine allows. I don't drink coffee, but he is raving about what a great job this grinder does. It's also well-built and pretty heavy so it sits solidly on the counter when he uses it. I recommend it highly.
