The carafe is a clear, 12-cup carafe with a no-drip pouring spout, a user-friendly round, black handle and removable lid. It is dishwasher safe, for easy care. The unit is well built and saves steps to get the coffee pot from the coffee maker to the table and let it stay warm there. The 2 heats are very nice to either keep the pot warm or to reheat first. Because of it's size, it is easily stored on a shelf or cupboard space.
